Torah-true education
PuriteParent Union for Religious Integrity of Torah Education
Creating a unity of parents of Yeshiva students, to ensure the purity of our future generations, through holding on to our traditional Jewish education.
OUR vISSION
Throughout the ages, observant (Orthodox) Jews and scholars have been educated and knowledgeable, and were at the same time careful to adhere to the guidelines of Torah laws, views, and customs. History has proven however, that those who have succumbed to a secular education and did not have a comprehensive Jewish schooling eventually lost their identity as Jews. We, Yeshiva students and parents alike, refuse to follow that pattern to allow secular infiltration to challenge our continuity.
OUR GOAL
We will stand strong to fight the attempts to alter our Yeshiva education. We will use every approach necessary to defend our position, through clarifying our stand to the public, as well as using legal measures if needed.
The Petition
Chinuch HaTuhor
Please submit the petition in Opposition to Proposed Substantial Equivalency Guidelines. It will be sent directly to the New York State Education Department (NYSED)
A Word
From Our Rabbis
- Grand Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum of Satmer ob”m instructed that our students should be taught only the basic knowledge and the basics of English language that is necessary. Additionally, he cautioned that our students should not go on to studying in college, which will alienate them from the core values with which they have been brought up.
- In fact, our community boasts thousands of successful businessmen who went through our educational system, and our institutions need no amendments to provide satisfactory results.

Religious Freedom Law
Religious Freedom is the first right listed in the Bill of Rights, and thus is often referred to as the “First Freedom.” The Constitution prohibits Federal, State, and local governments from infringing the free exercise of religion, or from establishing religion. In addition, various federal laws protect religious freedom. The Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice enforces these rights. Below is a brief overview of how the Civil Rights Division helps protect religious freedom, and how you can receive more information or assistance.
